Design and construction

This system includes three distinct types:

  • Main structural frame components (hot rolled): Columns, Trusses
  • Subframe components (cold form): wall beams, purlins, roof struts
  • Rolled profile panels: Wall and roof panels

Design and application

Steel bundles have a long history. In England Since the late 1770s, efforts have been made to build fireproof steel structures for the agricultural and textile industries. Towards the end of the 19th century, “mobile iron houses” were sold to pioneers during the gold rush. At that time, the first skyscraper was built.

At the beginning of the 20th century, steel buildings became more popular around the world. After World War II, steel buildings were widely accepted for their cost-effectiveness with improved materials and widespread applications.

In the United States, nearly 70% new low-rise buildings were built using metal building systems. Over 80 years, more than 14 million metal building systems have been constructed.

The steel building construction system has gradually become the fastest growing construction system in the world with the advantages of a non-residential single-storey building and is an effective alternative to typical conventional construction systems. image.
